Why an agency publishes apps
Building stores for a decade produces a list of problems you solve the same way every time. Passwordless login. A shipping protection fee the merchant keeps rather than remits. A returns portal that does exchanges properly. At some point rebuilding the same thing for the eleventh client stops being sensible and becomes a product.
That is the honest origin of all four, and it is also the reason they are narrow. None of them tries to be a platform. Each does one job that came up repeatedly in integration work, and stops there.
The trade is worth stating: a published app is a compromise between what every merchant needs and what yours does. Where the gap matters, a custom app is usually the better answer, and we will say so.

Who builds these apps?
Lucent Innovation, the same team behind the agency work on this site. The apps are listed on the Shopify App Store under that developer name, and support is handled by the same engineers rather than a separate vendor.
Are the apps free?
All four are free to install. Simply OTP Login & Notify, Simply Shipping Protection and Reverto have free tiers with usage limits and paid plans above them; Simply SEO Agent has a free tier with a monthly token allowance. Every paid plan has a free trial — seven days on three of the apps, fifteen on Reverto.
What does the Built for Shopify badge mean?
It is Shopify’s own mark for apps that meet its highest standards for performance, design and integration. Shopify awards it and can withdraw it. Simply OTP Login & Notify and Simply Shipping Protection carry it; Simply SEO Agent and Reverto do not.
Do I have to be a Lucent client to use them?
No. The apps are sold on the Shopify App Store to any merchant, and most of the people using them have never spoken to us. Being a client changes nothing about the pricing.
Will you build a custom app for us instead?
Often that is the right answer. Where a published app nearly fits but not quite, a custom app or a theme app extension is usually cheaper than bending a general-purpose tool. That work sits under Integrate rather than here.
